WHERE CAN I GET A CAR RENTAL?

We offer car rentals between private individuals in Thailand, searching by district or subdistrict.

CAN I BOOK A CAR RENTAL WITHOUT INSURANCE?

Yes, the vehicles offered all have compulsory Thai government insurance. However, you will be solely responsible for the total costs not covered by this insurance in the event of an accident. The owner must check with his insurance whether he needs to modify his contract in order to be able to rent his vehicle(s).

IS THERE A MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM AGE FOR DRIVING A RENTAL CAR?

The customer must have a valid national or international driving license. However, please note that the acceptance of the rental of the vehicle depending on your age will be at the decision of the rental individual.

HOW LONG WILL IT BE BEFORE I RECEIVE MY CAR RENTAL CONFIRMATION?

It's quite fast, between 12 and 24 working hours before receiving your reservation confirmation by email, following acceptance of the rental by the vehicle owner.

CAN I CANCEL MY RENTAL?

In case of cancellation of the rental by the customer, the amount of 200thb will be retained for the costs management. If this cancellation is made within fifteen days before the rental, 20% of the rental amount will be retained in order to compensate the owner of the vehicle in addition to the costs management. And if the cancellation is made by the customer within 48 hours before the rental, it will be 50% of the rental amount retained to cover all costs.

DO I NEED TO HAVE AN INTERNATIONAL DRIVING LICENSE IF I AM NOT A THAI CITIZEN?

A valid international driving license is required if you do not have a driving license issued by the Thai government, in which case it will not be necessary.

WHAT RESERVATION DOCUMENTS SHOULD I KEEP FOR MY CAR RENTAL?

Once your reservation is confirmed, a rental receipt will be given to you. The vehicle will also include all legal requirements in Thailand provided by the owner, vehicle documents, annual road tax sticker and compulsory insurance.

CAN THERE BE MORE THAN ONE DRIVER DRIVING THE CAR RENTAL?

Yes, you must give a copy of all driver's license at the car owner before rent the vehicle, please ensure that all drivers have valid driving licenses.

WHAT DO I NEED TO RENTAL A CAR?

You need the rental receipt, your identity document (other drivers if there are any), your valid driving license (international for those who do not have a Thai driving license).

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE VEHICLE I HAVE BOOKED IS NOT DELIVERED TO ME?

We will do our best to find you another vehicle in the same category or refund your full payment very quickly.

DO I HAVE A DEPOSIT LEFT WITH THE RENTER?

There is no need for a security deposit. We receive your rental payment which will remain with our company until the end of the rental.

WILL I NEED TO PAY FOR OTHER THINGS AT DESTINATION?

No, everything is already paid for when you rent on the website.

WHO SHOULD I CONTACT IN CASE OF PROBLEM AT DESTINATION?

You will need to contact the car owner for accident or other problems. If you have problem with the car owner, you will need to contact Tchaorot.

CAN I HIT THE ROAD IMMEDIATELY ONCE I GET THE KEYS TO THE RENTAL CAR?

It is important to do an inspection before handing over the vehicle. You will be asked to add photos of any visible damage or defect before picking up your vehicle.

CAN I CROSS BORDERS OUTSIDE THAILAND WITH MY CAR RENTAL?

No, the vehicles can only be used in Thailand.

WHAT TO DO IF I HAVE AN ACCIDENT?

You must inform your rental car owner soon as possible. In the vehicle, you will find the necessary documents for the vehicle and the insurance provided by the rental car owner.

WHAT IF MY VEHICLE BREAKS DOWN?

Contact the rental car owner.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I COMMIT A TRAFFIC VIOLATION DURING MY RENTAL?

You are liable for fines related to the use of the rental vehicle. Upon receipt of your traffic ticket, you will have to pay the fine.

DOES THE RENTAL CAR NEED TO BE DELIVERED WITH FULL FUEL?

Yes, you must refuel before returning the car otherwise fees will be charged as well as the increased cost of the liter.

CAN I THROW AWAY ALL DOCUMENTS ONCE MY BOOKING IS COMPLETED?

It is recommended that you keep all documents given to you for one year: initial and final rental contracts, initial and final invoices and any other supporting documents in order to present them in the event of a claim.

CAN I LEAVE IMMEDIATELY ONCE I HAVE HANDED OVER THE KEYS TO THE RENTAL CAR?
